Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Nursing belongs to the Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Charitable trust that was established in the year 2009. The society marched its step towards accomplishment of their vision with hospital the society further added their feathers with a college of nursing in the year 2017-18 with two years Diploma Programme Auxiliary nurse midwife, ANM Nursing and four year degree B.Sc. Nursing programme from the academic year 2018-19. Our college is affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Gujarat Nursing registration council.
VISION:
The greatest challenge before the new generation is to shape up an excellent career amidst the burning problem. Our aim is to educate the new generation for their career. We target to equip our students to face the challenges of the new era.
MISSION:
To develop ethics, values, and technological advancement associated with profession related to Nursing that prepare students who can lead at all organization levels, from local to the global and can face the future challenges easily.
AIM:
To enhance the students satisfaction by providing the better nursing education and prepare the graduate nurses who can practice nursing profession effectively.
OBJECTIVES:
The nurse on completion of this course will be able to :
- Demonstrate competency in providing health care to individual, sick, mother and child.
- Assess the nursing need of clients from birth to death.
- Plan and carry out appropriate action to meet nursing needs.
- Provide effective nursing care to maintain best possible level of health in all aspects.
- Promote self care in people under their care.
- Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing care.
- Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice.
- Apply knowledge from the humanities, biological and behavioral sciences in functioning as a nurse.
- Function effectively with members of the health team and community applying the knowledge of human relation and communication skills in their work.
- Participate as member of the health team in delivery of curative preventive, promotive and rehabilitative health care service.
- Mobilize community resources and their involvement in working with the communities.
- Demonstrate use of ethical values in their personal and professional life.
- Demonstrate interest in activities of professional organization.
- Demonstrate basic skills in teaching patients and giving nurse care to mother and child.
- Demonstrate basic skills in primary health center management administration and leadership while with other members of health team and community.
